The property that is Greasy Bend Off-Road park has been in the Wyatt family for 3 generations. It has been used for cattle pasture, hay ground, and crop farming. As the story was told by Jeff’s grandmother, Della Wyatt, the farmers would spend long days in the fields working, and when they would return home in the evening, their wives declared that they were “greasy.” Since the property lies in a hairpin bend in the White River, this area of Rosie became known many years ago as “GREASY BEND.”
